A Simple Meditation Routine
Meditation is a form of practice where you focus on clearing your mind and become emotionally stable. This practice reduces many mental illnesses such as depression, stress, and anxiety. So it makes sense why you might be hearing a lot of commotion about meditating on social media. Maybe you want to join in too. I also was very interested in meditation since I practiced yoga for a very long time. But if you’re anything like me then meditating is not so easy. What I mean is that I like to know the perfect way to meditate. There are many How to Meditate videos on YouTube that you could watch. But they could also convince you that your meditation practice is incorrect. When I was meditating I was so concerned that maybe I was doing it wrong and that lead me to avoid meditation as a whole.
 
But the reality of it is that there is no right or wrong way to meditate. I like to follow my intuition and listen to my body when it comes to meditating. Whether it’s laying on my back, sitting upright on my bed, or standing underneath the shower. Make sure to be in a space where you can relax and be in tune.
 
You can meditate any time of the day, there is no specific time. I like to set my intentions for the day before I begin my meditation in the morning, right when I wake up. I am also aware and in tune with the moon cycles. So when there is a new moon or a full moon I like to meditate and set my intentions at night. If you don’t have time, you can simply meditate in the shower. Play some relaxing music and get in tune with your intuition.
 
If you continue to feel lost during your meditation sessions, there are also guided meditations that can help. I continue to listen to these guided meditations once in a while. Especially when I feel overwhelmed and lost in my thoughts. There are different types of guided meditations that you can be helpful. If you want to set your intentions for the full moon/new moon there is a podcast for that. Maybe you want something more simple and straightforward, there is an app for that. You can also read articles on how to meditate for specific reasons whether i\t is to attract love, money, or peace. There are many ways you can use meditation in your favor. Whether its to relax and ease your anxiety or to set intentions for the day.
 
When I meditate I like to use sage or palo santo, you can also use incense sticks. This helps create a peaceful environment by eliminating any negative energy from your space. I also include my favorite crystals into my meditation. You don’t necessarily have to hold them but just have them close to you. Before you begin, ask your crystal what you want from them and feel their vibrations. Some people like to lay down on their back and add their crystals in the chakra positions. To make the environment more peaceful I also like to light up candles. But like I mentioned there isn’t a right or wrong form of meditating just follow your intuition.
